ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Muslim League – Quaid (PML-Q) have agreed on jointly nominating members in the parliamentary committee for the Judicial Commission.
The two political parties will propose names, however, the final nominees will be appointed after a consensus is reached. In this respect, a working relationship is developing between the two parties.
Earlier, on Wednesday, a high-level meeting took place between PML-N and PML-Q leaders in the chamber of Senator Wasim Sajjad.
The parties are expected to announce their nominees for the committee today. PML-N is expected to name Senator Ishaq Dar, whereas PML-Q is expected to name Senator Wasim Sajjad for the committee. The parties are scheduled to make a formal announcement in a joint press conference after consultation.
