KARACHI, Oct 24: Army, Pakistan Air Force (PAF), Karachi Port Trust (KPT) and National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) all won their Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) matches played at different cities on Sunday.

Army edged past Habib Bank Limited (HBL) 1-0 at the Municipal Stadium in Rawalpindi with Imran Hussain bringing in the golden goal for them in 78th minute.

At the PAF Complex in Peshawar, PAF, too, beat their opponents Afghan FC 1-0. The lone goal of the match was scored by Mohammad Zeeshan in the 69th minute.

Meanwhile, KPT beat Young Blood FC 2-0 at the Rai Ali Nawaz Stadium in Sahiwal. The goals for the winners were scored by Ismail Baba (69th min) and Ahmed Lal (89th min).

Thanks to Mohammad Asif`s double strike, NBP achieved the near-impossible by beating table-toppers Wapda 2-0 with Asif scoring in the 30th and 53rd minutes.

Monday fixtures: PMC Athletico v KESC at PMC Ground, Faisalabad; PEL v PIA at Model Town Football Academy Ground, Lahore; KRL v Baloch FC at Municipal Stadium, Rawalpindi (12.30pm); Navy v SSGC also at Municipal Stadium, Rawalpindi. Matches, unless stated otherwise, kick off at 3.00pm.
